Well… it’s that time of year again (as I sound like I’ve been doing this as long as I can remember).
Actually, this is just my second year entering into the PPW (Professional Photographers of Washington) Western States Print Competition (although this year might just be state… I’m still a little new at how these work) which I then plan to take what I enter there and submit them to the PPA (Professional Photographers of America) International Photographic Competition this summer.
As I start planning and shooting for these two competitions, I keep coming back to this one portrait of my daughter, Joanna, that I took this past weekend and well…. I’m pretty excited as to how it turn out, I thought I’d show you all!
Now entering this isn’t definate, but wouldn’t it be wonderful to come back and tell Jo that thanks to her patience, willingness to pose for me and endure my tortures of trying new lighting, or “now turn just a little to the left… perfect!!!”, that I did well this year? I think so!
I’m working on another one that’s going to be submitted as a painted portrait… so come back later and it may be up!
